Getting Started

If you have any concerns regarding the speech, language or communication skills of your child, (or the communication of a loved one/spouse due to stroke or head injury) and you would like to consult with a Speech-Language Pathologist, please fill out the Contact form. Once the form is returned to the clinic, you will be contacted and it will be determined if a one-hour consultation with a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist will be recommended.

A Registered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will meet with the child and parent(s). A screening of speech, language and communication skills will be conducted through informal assessment. A discussion of the areas of strength and weakness will occur. If a significant concern is identified at the initial consultation, then assessment sessions will be recommended so that comprehensive testing can be undertaken.

To our valued clients:

The College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHBC) is closely monitoring the rapidly evolving developments with the COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) pandemic. Based on the latest developments in British Columbia, and effective March 19, 2020 CSHBC strongly recommends that all Speech-Language Pathologists (RSLPs)  who work in private practice suspend in-person elective and non-essential services.

CSHBC recommends that providers follow this protocol for approximately two weeks, from March 19, 2020 until April 1, 2020, at which time they should re-evaluate the situation.

At SSS, we want to do our part in reducing the spread of this nasty virus. As of today, we have closed our doors for direct service. We will consider offering “virtual care” when and where appropriate and according to client ability and needs.

Thank you for your support and understanding during this challenging time.  We will ALL miss our families and look forward to regular services returning to soon🌹
