Registered Speech-Language Pathologist

Hannah is a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist. She initially joined Semiahmoo Speech in 2019 as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant and has earned her Master of Science Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of British Columbia. She has also undertaken further formal training focused on coaching parents in supporting development of social communication skills and gestalt language processing.

At the heart of Hannah’s therapeutic practices lies a deep belief in cultivating strong, trusting bonds with each learner, creating a safe and nurturing space where they can explore, express themselves, and navigate challenges with confidence. Hannah champions an approach that honors a child’s innate curiosity and individual interests, recognizing play as the natural language through which children communicate and process their experiences. She follows the learner’s lead, allowing them to dictate the direction of therapy sessions while offering guidance and support along the way to help them progress toward their identified goals. This approach not only empowers her learners but also fosters a sense of autonomy and self-efficacy.

In her free time, Hannah finds pleasure in watching travel vlogs and cooking videos!
